Barrie Levitt Knee

Plain Jane is my first novel. My mother, who is an avid reader, inspired me to write this book after sharing a dream I had about the books “secret”.

I think that especially for a first book, authors tend to write what they know. Like Jane, I grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia, lived in NYC, worked for an Internet start-up (DoubleClick) and have twins.

 

I have always an entrepreneurial spirit.  After becoming a mom, I patented and manufactured decorative covers for children’s bed rails (www.kover-ups.com).  This product earned several awards including Best Product from iParenting Media.

 

I am married with twin daughters and live in New Jersey.  My other interests include running, yoga and long walks with my dogs.
